Some churches have one youth pastor who does a little bit of everything. Others have student ministry teams spread across multiple campuses, each with its own leaders, events, and weekly rhythm. Fresh Fire is built for both. Our latest release gives churches more control over what each person can see and do in the web portal.
There are now two levels of admin access: Organization Wide and Campus/Ministry Specific.
An organization-wide admin has access to everything in the church’s Fresh Fire web portal. This is the right level for the people responsible for the account as a whole, including setting up admins and managing who receives the Safety Report emails and when they arrive. Organization leaders can add or edit permissions in the Admin tab of the web portal.
Campus or ministry leaders can have access that fits their role. They cannot set up new admins or change Safety Report email recipients and timing. Their access to people’s profiles can also be restricted, including visibility into Bible Reading Plans, messages, prayers, and challenges in the web portal. And when a leader is responsible for one campus, you can limit where they create events and plans or send announcements so those actions apply only to their campus.
That matters when you want a campus youth pastor to run ministry day to day without giving them control over settings for the whole church. They can communicate and create content for their students, while organization leaders keep oversight of the broader account.
If you’re a small church, you can keep things simple. If you’re a multi-site church with youth leaders serving across several campuses, you can give people access that matches their responsibilities. We want Fresh Fire to serve the smallest youth ministry and the biggest churches in the nation with the same goal: helping students build lasting rhythms of faith and relationships with leaders who know them.
